THIS PEN IS RARE RARE PEN FROM MY PERSONAL COLLECTION - TOTALLY UN-RESTORED ( NOT RESTORED!! )
It is rare enough to see MB 342's with the single cap band , it is almost totally impossible to find
Infact these early 344s were larger than the later 344s!! Both in length and thickness.
a MB 344 with the single cap!!!They are a treasure.The bigger brother of the 342, the 344 has a far nicer , fluted ( wider end) nib
with Good FLEX!
These single band pens are highly sought after also due to the shape of the body - the body is far more rounded, the barrel is also far more contoured - it is thicker at the center of the barrel than the ends far far more than the mid 50s models, making them far more elegant and cooler.
This 344G even has the early imprinted star cap rather than the common white star top!!
What makes this pen truly a serious collectors item is that fact that is hasnt been restored!!Yet it is fully working!!!!
The pen has NO brassing and hardly any signs of use.No cracks and No Initials!!
This pen is so mint that even the all the imprints still have the white coloring!! This is hardly ever seen
on vintage MB pens . Just further testament of the fact this pen been preserved!
THIS IS the early Celluloid body !!!
The holding area is also far contoured than later pens!
